OK, it is finally out! Thank-you to everyone who offered advice, however it eventually had to be butchered out with various choppy tools. Unlike the previous owner, I will most definitely be giving the new pin a healthy covering of grease before it goes back together! -

Quick update if anyone is following this post; all of my attempts with fancy penetrating oil/rust eater/blowtorch/huge slide hammer has failed, so I have now given it to a mate of mine who is going to attack it with an array of power tools! -

WD40 is not a RustRemover or a rusteater, at all. proper RustEating penetrating oils you may find from likes commercial consumer CRC-product range.
WD-40 is more like a "oil film" to prevent water corrosion. its a lubricant.
i havent checked but there is an "urban legend" about soaking free jammed iron bore pistons from Tractors etc with dot4 brakefluid.
but id try 1st the proper rust eating penetraiting oils. you could also every 2nd or 3rd time rinse the loosened corrosion with regular pumpfuel, and then re-repeat RustEater soaking. Get the huge slide hammer and use it while soaking to see if any looseness happens (before really pulling Spindle out fully, as explained previously...)
Ideal, cheers for the advice. I have ordered a big ol' slide-hammer and some rust-remover and will let you know how I progress!
