This is probably a silly question, but the stator cover on my mito evo 2 has damage of around an inch in length where it meets the casing. Every second hand cover I have seen on ebay has similar damage on the exact same place. So my question is, am I correct in assuming that this part of the cover is just particularly prone to breaking as its thinner than the rest, or is there supposed to be a hole here? Is this part of the engine completely dry anyway or is it usually full of oil? Cheers, Andy

As the topic title suggests, I am having issues removing the pin which joins the swingarm, frame and engine. The manual instructs 'make the pin come out', which is extremely helpful. So far I have tried persuasion, threats, begging and mindless violence, leaving it soaked in WD40 for 6 weeks, heating it with a blowtorch and buying an even bigger hammer, but to no avail. As it eats hacksaw blades now that I have even tried cutting the pin I am out of ideas! I am hoping that someone is going to say 'oh, there's a specialist tool for that, here's a link!', but as this is unlikely I am happy to hear any suggestions!
