YPVS always needs controlling. Either with a CDI that has a built-in control box (TZR-R) or a separate control box (TZR). Don't know yet whether the TZR will work with a TZR-R CDI (with built in controls). Waiting for someone who knows this to let me know!

as far as i have been made aware, it isnt the cdi that operates the servo on the "r" models, but that the control box is built into the servo itself, this can be told apart from other servos as it is longer to accomodate the extra electrics

Interesting... I thought it was built into the CDI box...

Dunno...

Either way, I need a control box! (Unless this 250 kit has it built into the motor too)

From what I know, the RD350 controller box will work fine.

You just need to change around 2 connectors (Cant help on that).

Where are the spare plugs for the controller box and servo on the wiring loom of the 3PC1?

I havent got ANY spare plugs on mine!

its a safe bet they are still there, even if they have been chopped off, it should be quite easy to find them and patch new wires in.alternatively, get a new loom for 90 quid.

it aint impossible, but it aint much fun either.

if you have the time and confidence then go for it, you will be able to measure up most of the wires against the old loom, get all the right fittings etc.

if you do do it, buy a crimper, it will make your life SO much easier.

I hope they are still there...

I havent got ?90 to buy a new wiring loom worst luck!

Might see about building my own though.....

I have got a complete wiring diagram, as far as I know...
Wiring diagrams are worse than useless for making a new loom. They don't have any lengths for any of the wires. What I need to get hold of is a loom diagram (you can get Yammy to make you up a loom from scratch, and their diagram will have all the lengths of all the wires, all the connector part numbers and everything, will even tell you where to put each core in each connector!). Once I get one of those, I'm gonna start knocking up looms for people at cost price, plus a beer or two.

Let me know if you can find one for me

They'll NEVER give me the diagram... If they give me it then they won't get the money for making the loom. And I could go into production. And rip them off of a job.

If you know a local mech who might have a copy for you, then by all means, grab it and post me a copy (i'll give you my snail mail address - a hard copy will be better quality than a scan due to compression).

I'll even knock you up a loom too

My loom is hardly a shining example for that

My loom resembles a theatre - more tape than anything else!!!

I aint too bad when it comes to electronics.....

I am into electronics and computers, so I should know a little bit!

I will ask a mechanic friend of mine when I see him...
He might get me a loom diagram...If so, I will send you a copy of it...

If you get hold of it, let me know. I have crimpers and bullet connectors already, just need the multi block connectors and i've got a load of trailer cable accessible to me anyway!
