I have fitted these new indicators to my bike, but they aren't working as they draw too much, they are 23W globes, the Mito is 10W. I can't get 10W globes for these indicators so I'm thinking about replacing the relay. Will this work ok? I'm sure it'll work, but with the Mito electrics being so sensitive I just worry about draining the battery even more, I don't think it'll be an issue though as it's not like they are continuously running.

I take it you mean 23 watt lamps and 10 watt lamps. The difference in power useage shouldn't be a problem unless your using your indicators constantly i reckon.

The relay is switched based on the current going through it i think, there are electronic types that are self-switched which dont rely on the indicators to work properly.

Are your sure the wattage is correct and they aren't LED type fittings ?

your best bet is to find a relay for 21watt bulbs(thats close enough for the correct flash rate and you won't find a 23 watt version anyways)the flash rate on a relay is worked using a capacitance/resistance circuit, the capacitance is a constant fixed value inside the relay itself, the resistance part is made by 2 of the indicators resistance, this will give you a time constant for the flash rate of the indicators, therefore change the indicators and change the flash rate,so you will need to change the relay or the lamps to get back to the correct flash rate
