The Situation
My bike was off the road for a while because it would'nt start. I gave it to a mechanic and he said it was the air box seal or something to he put it back on properly. So when i recieve it the bikes running fine just a bit cold then i take it for a ride. When i stalled the whole electrics went off and i had to bump it to get back. So anyways now it wont bump to start but the electrics are back. Though when i start it i hear the engine trying to start up but then the fans just kick in. Also when i try to bump it i just hear weird sounds coming from it so basicly do you think its my airbox is f*cked. Is there anything i can actually do and what are the prices for Mito airboxes?

P.s Sorry for long ass pointless story just vex, thats in advance

How old is your battery, you might just need to give that a charge.

If its making weird sounds when you try to start it, I'd seriously doubt that its the airbox thats at fault.

Sounds like you need to take it to someone who knows what they're doing to have a look at it.

It doesn;t sound airbox related at all - they're conning you. Take a vid of you trying to start it.

Turn the ignition key, it'll screech, then screech again. This is the PV servo. When you then try and start it, what happens exactly? Chech the fuel tap - did you turn it off when you took it off the road? Have you hit the kill switch? check the spark plug for a spark, sheck fuel is getting through, and lastly but most importantly, drain the tank and put fresh petrol in. Old petrol won't do you any favours.

Sounds like you need to take it to someone who knows what they're doing to have a look at it.

As a friend of mine is fond of saying, "Most carburetor problems are electrical."

I'm with the others -- it would astound me is a leaking airbox would keep it from running. It might run a little poorly, but it would run. Since you have other indications of electrical bugaboos, I'd look there instead.
