i think the tzr forum generates a better class of person.lmfao.
i do think generally there are alot of older people on here, like me, that have bought a tzr cos i used to have one when i was younger, where as the rs isnt really old enough to have that kind of, dare i say it, "cult status"
yet

this may be the case but i've had a bloody good laugh this afternoon.

i also noticed that one of 'our guys' has gone to the dark side.. he was asked if the rs was better than the tzr and answered yes (mainly due to his tzr needing a lot of work)

but now hes found a few little 'problems' with his new aprilia... i guess that'll teach him to wander..lol

finally a lot of questions here involve renovating, parts, and some humour etc.. aprilia is full of 'help mes'!'

there wernt much in his TZR/RS comparison though

Rs is heavier, awkward to get used to and abit faster. not much though, hes got 95 out of his rs top whack, i reckon most TZRs on here could do that.

not to mention the fact is RS cost 3 times as much as my TZR lol

I didn't grow up with them at all, never had an interest in them untill recently. However i do remember when i was still a teenager seeing one and thinking it did look quite smart. I remembered that, and now at 34 i thought i would see what they are all about.

Christ I thought I was the coffin dodger on the forum
.
I think you are right the TZR seems to attract older riders who are often looking for the best in a smaller bike performance and handling.

Or the people who want to restore what is almost a classic!

Just kidding, they aren't quite that old...

Seriously though, the old style TZR (2rk/3pcX series) is a BEAUTIFUL machine, and a wonderful piece of engineering!

I've got a CBR125 now, but I still feel the tzr is a much higher build quality. Oh, and the TZR is like lego. Comes apart and goes back together really easily. Before I got my TZR i knew nothing about mechanics. 18 months later i've done everything bar engine surgery! (and I do mean everything - changing swingers and shocks in the rain was fun!)

I have to admit, I am young compared to a lot on here!

I am only 17!!!!!

But I chose to have a TZR125, even though my friends on their RS125s are a bit faster, etc....

The older bikes are so much better!

TZRs are one of the best bikes ever made in my opinion!

Only 2 bikes that are better than a TZR125:
1 - TZR250 (Especially the reverse cylinder model!)
2 - RD500 (or RZV500R, the import model with alloy frame, not steel)

Much nicer than these bloody RS125s around....look better, sound better, etc

Sorry, but I gotta say there's one more bike that's better than the TZR125...

RD350LC YPVS. But then again, that bike's commonly known as "Two-stroke Madness!!!"
