is it turning over? If not check what voltage your getting from the battery if below 12v bump start it.
I doubt the carb as got sh*t in.

Oh yh to check the spark..

Take off the hti lead and remove the plug. Connect hti lead back to the plug and put the plug near the frame and hit the starter button.

you know what a spark plug is? do you know where it is located on your bike?? if you dont then have a look around your engine and you will see that there will be a black lead that pops on to your plug. it should be visable. if you see it then jsut pop the lead of with your hands. then unscrew the aprk plug and and have alook at your spark plug check the colour. if it is black then you can do with a new spark plug. but if it looks a light chocklate colour then it should be fine. chack to see if you have a spark by putting the sprk plug in the lead and resting the spark plug agasit the metal frame of your bike and try electric strating your bike which the sprk plug is agasit the frame of ur bike and you should see a little blue spark frum ur plug?

try that

The spring inside the petrol tank wont make any odds for the fuel getting to the carburetor. Theres a verticle filter about 10cm high inside the tank that stops particles going through.
Yeah just went home at dinner and spotted the filter. Tried a few times and battery died although i charged it a few days ago. Saying that the pins on the charger was dodgy so ive wapped in on charge again and see how it goes tomorrow. Fingers crossed

you say it ran out of petrol, it takes a while for the fuel to be drawn all the way through the lines and the carb so unless its been turning over a fair while it wont fire.

Other than that theres a few things it could be:

Clogged carb/fuel lines.
Coils f*ckered
Regulators shagged
Carb may need resetting
