Hey guys went out yesterday and bought the bike bike shampoo and wax as its coming up to summer and theres nothing like a new shiny looking bike.

Bought some metal polish for exhaust and shiny bits.

Just a question though
Is it ok to clean brake discs to remove rust and get them looking new again with this stuff.
Its carplan chrome polish for all kinds of unpainted metals

I always use car shampoo on my bike and I?ve never had a problem. I use it on the brakes aswell but just rinse it with clean water after. I would not recommend polishing the disk surface as it could affect performance, if you want REALY clean breaks then get some brake and clutch cleaner (from pretty much any motor parts shop). Just don?t get it on paint or in cuts cos it?s not nice stuff (also VERY flammable, which can be fun for starting bbqs etc).
