Cagiva Mito - difficult to engage neutral at rest

I have had my Mito for several years now and it never fails to put a smile on my face !!

It has always been reluctant to engage neutral when at a standstill, but will engage easily when moving. On the paddock stand in gear the rear wheel drives the engine even when the clutch is pulled in. The clutch is adjusted correctly and as far as I can tell is operating correctly.

I have stripped the clutch and can find no obvious reason for this.

SO..... do they all do this or can anyone solve my problem, before I put it back together and carry on regardless ?
