Digging out my old base code is taking a little longer than expected - the guy who kept my backup copy has it on a dvd. He's searched through 6 dvds of files already, he has another 24 to go, and this is only about 2 meg's worth of code he's looking for

Other than that, it's all fine and dandy!

We have good news!!! I finally found my old code (after hunting through 620 gigabytes of data, and 3 friends' computers) from another chatroom built on the same base as the one I wanted.

This is good, because it means we shall have a chatroom in the very near future!

LMAO. Given up on the first java applet - had it almost working but it didn't like handling colour properly. Found a more stable and well-built one which is being fiddled with as we speak

Decent Java Client installed!!! Dark grey doesn't show too well, but it's a sacrifice I'm prepared to make!!!

Typing bar works! For those of you (greg and tzrfreak) who have helped me get this baby running properly (amongst many beers and unhelpful comments!!!), I thank you.
