Howdi all, here are the first couple of pics of my 1989 RG125 Gamma with a 1995 CR500 engine in her. Spent a few hours on it this aft and got the engine a bit further on than in these pics. I have finished the top mount and braced the frame. Got the day off tomorrow, so I will take more pics whilst im working on her.

Im going to make an exact copy of the 500 expansion chamber, but send it under the bike like the original rg exhaust. It's really light, and bloody short. Im sure it will put a smile on my face every time that throttle hits its stop hehe

Hi Mav, I think the engine side will be complete by the weekend. I have a mint second hand front pipe coming from ebay thats going to be chopped to death and re shaped in the RG125 style, but that may take me a while to get it exactly right. I will soon be able to come out and play on my unicycle, as the front wheel will hardly ever touch the floor

Oh yes, she's gonna be in the street fighter trim. Not sure on colour scheme yet. Any ideas?

The mountings are exactly the same as the CR500 frame and that didn't vibrate too much in that chassis. I like a bit of good vibrations anyway

If it's a real vibro machine, I will rubber bush the bars

Thanks for the comments. Well i have the cradle finished now, so I'd say another week of working late every night and she will be ready for testing.

Found a vid of somebodys tzr 125 with a cr500 engine in it ! you reckon yours be like that be sick hearing it.

Thats exactly what they sound like, and thats a good vid to watch. It looks like he's used the std tzr exhaust and just changed the front mounting. I would like to know what it went like once he was past 1/8th throttle, just to see if the pipe let it rev out

thats gav from this forums tzr, it had a mick abbey made custom exhaust iirc

he dont seem to of been on the forum for a while now, last time i seen him post his tzr500 look liked this;
