OK, so I'm bombing along in the pouring rain on my NS125R at around 80mph, then it just cuts out! I give it some throttle but there's no help. Most of the time I have to pull over and then it'll start up again, sometimes I can bump it on the roll, but it's just completely unpredictable as to when it'll do it and how long for. The only thing I know is that it only does it when it's p*ss*ng it down...

Any help as this seems like a serious problem but the bike's fine when it's dry...

Have you looked for wires that might not be protected right and get wet and short out, i would look a Ht lead and coil to start with.

[i would check the plug cap, if it still fits tight pack it with grease. if loose get another one

mmm, check the plug/HT lead, i bet its water ingress.

Replace the spark plug. And take off the fairing and coat all exposed wires in WD40 this protects them from salt and water.

happens on my rg to. i got some holts damp start sprayed it all over my ht coil lead and cap and wot ever eles u wanna seal and it puts a clear plastic water tight seal over it. never had a problem since with it. u can get it an most fuel stations halfords ect ect.

Cheers guys, going to buy a new HT lead and check the coil, as it turns out the cap is slightly loose on the plug anyway so bet it's shorting out against the engine head when it gets wet.

Maybe you have to screw the top off the sparkplug so the HT fits over it...
