Hello...

I have ordered my new exhaust (Gianelli system, with alloy silencer).

I have also got a new exhaust gasket coming for it...

The thing is, is that I have ordered a copper gasket, because in my experience with small 2 strokes (Dont laugh, but strimmers, lawnmowers, and other small workhorse 2 strokes), copper seemed to last the longest before replacement was needed.

But I just wanted to check what material is best for the gasket?

Fibre
Aluminium
Copper

I thought that fibre gaskets broke up after a few months?

Any thoughts/ideas/help?

Thanks

Depends what fibre and what it's under. If it's taking heat, either copper or ally...

I need to get a TZR125 engine for an alternative use some time...

Well, my mum's getting a bit old now... she's officially old enough to retire, and she's a grandmother. So getting her a bike is out of the question. But...

I hate those little electric things that you see old farts driving around town. Figured I'd get a TZR125 lump and drop it into the shell from one for her

Because my mum said earlier she wanted me to soup up one of those things the old people drive. So I figured a TZR lump would be perfect!

fair enough!

it would need twin exit exhaust though!

just infront of the rear wheel!

I was wondering about using the engine out of the Suzuki GN250 I have got for something.....maybe radio controlled car? 100mph radio controlled car!

yippee!

Why a twin exit? Why not a single like the TZR? Most of these are trikes or four-wheelers anyway...

What about one in the middle at the back between the two wheels? Flush mounted under the bodywork, with an exit hole smack bang in the middle?
