Basically yeah but as its fuel injected it just opens the throttle slightly to raise the revs

on the k series the choke is on the left bar (hang with mew a little here)
that is atached to a small cable than goes between the tank and frame on the left side of the bike
around/under the left side of the air box and clips into a little black plastic cam
when if yopu lift the tank and use a torch (just to make it lighter) you can see the black cam on the left side of the throttle bodys (air box sits right on top of them)
if you use the choak lever you should see the black cam move and it should slightly move the gold-ish colour part that youre throttle cable will pull on
if you dont know what part im talking about open the throttle whilst lookin and youll see it move

if the choak lever isnt moving this black cam then the cable is probably broken and will need a neew one but take it off and have a look before going to buy anything new!

on the k1-4 600750 and 1000 its still manual choak and its just the same as opening the throttle a little

hope this helps

right, the black cam part moves the lever that 'should' be attached to the throttlecable housing bit isnt so the lever moves, but throttle doesnt, gay
