Hrmm... looks pretty sweet actually... Hit a bird though? Most birds are too clever to sit in front of a bike when it's haring down the road

ive not been hit by a bird but one day following a mate and his wife (she was on the back) i got a great view of a hit (and it was funny too).

gsxr 750 zooming down the road, wifey on the back with some stupid stick on mohawk on her helmet, me behind a little bitand out towards middle of road os i can see both of them.

anyway just then i see this blur of grey and a big puff of feathers and when i look over towards them my mate has his head tucked and his wifes lost her mohawk.
they quickly stopped and when i asked what had happened , he said he saw it coming and immediatly ducked as a quick reaction and it had smacked his wife clean in the head, knocking off the mohawk, breaking her visor .. she wasnt ammused and said that as a man AND her husband he should of took the hit for her as
1 she never saw it coming,
2 it nearly knocked her off
3 it hurt.
natural reaction to duck i think!!

anyway we couldnt stop laughing at it afterwards.. and actually mention it now and again just for laughs.

maybe you had to be there or hear us tell the story for it to be as funny as it just doesnt have the punch when you type it!

lol i can imagine that, my mate was hit by a pheasant and a pigeon in the same week.

then had to clean the (rotting) remains on the pigeon (hit his forks first) from his radiator cover.

nice.

I've also been sitting in traffic on a motorway, piegeon wandering round in between the cars (c*cky bastids) went to fly away. Straight up into my mates wing mirror. . . cost a few quid to sort that mess lol.

animals are dangerous little b*st*rds.. ive ramped over a few rabbits in my time, usually resulting in a bit of tank slap but no fall yet.

however a guy bought a brand new gsxr1000 (i was about 15 at the time and it was my mates big brother) he was really giving it some out of the back of kirton lindsey on the back roads when a golden retriver ran out in front of him... he went straight through the middle of it (yes cut it in half) and came off it a really big way.
broke his back, both legs and was in a coma for a few months.

unfortunately the dog obviously died and to add insult to injury his insurance company sued the dogs owners for costs to his machine as it shouldnt of been on the road. at this point he gave up road bikes (he had had a few falls) and took up motorcross.
anway he crashed that when p**sing about flying through woodland, the back end shot out and threw him off where he prompty twatted a tree back first and bust that as well as his arm... hes now driving cars only!

he has some funny stories about his biking history, like the time he bought a brand new zxr750 and rode it gently away from the shop, anyway he decided to pull a wheelie as he got going and the handle bar come off in his hand, some how he put it back on the ground and rode it back to kawasaki holding the throttle in the air... they were more than a little embarrased at there bike maintanance/building skills!

nice, you ever ridden one?

really easy bikes to get on with, and to be honest more than powerful enough for the road. You will keep up with most of the weekend warriors on their 600s no problems!

all you neeed to do now is change the badge!

Never ridden bigger than a 125. Not passed my test either. Need to do that and get me an RD350LC before I get the ZZR

Looking good. I prefer the old school TZR (dunno why, but I do!).
