I did I get to 4th then move up to 5th and it doesnt seem to do anything. so I'm either not getting 5th or missing a lower gear. Or I just cant countWhy not go for a ride?
And find a straight road, and just do it in your head, and count the gears you go through.
Bikes coming upto 4000, if I get the chance today I'll find a straight bit of road and work thru the gears. How many miles has your bike done. Seems unlikely that a gearbox would just fail like that for no apparent reason.
Is that safe? The wheel would be spinning very very fast LOLput your bike on a paddock stand and do it manually. top the bike out in each gear and test the top speed. if you do it to the redline there should be a speed difference in 4th n 5th obviously.
theres ment to be a 6 speed box in the new xtc out later this year.well here's one for ya. those engine originally came with 6 speed boxes. have another look ya ma find an extra gear... lol jus kiddin
not using the same motor then??theres ment to be a 6 speed box in the new xtc out later this year.
Errr how can you say you get 120.......if the front wheel is at a standstill........yeah its safe. heavy tool box on the stand and a zip tie each side round the bobbin and hook so it dont vibrate off if ya rear wheel balance is wank and away u go. no point covering the front brake if its gonna go it'll go.
i dont personally sit on the bike as it would exceed my stand limit by a few kg's i stand to the left side. rev the bike and clutchless shift up through the box, then back down. you can get over 120mph outta the rs on a stand lol
