clickity click

u think i would need to re-jet if i got one? was thinking pod filter first, but i would defo have to re-jet for that, but what about exhaust???

even though my bikes still restricted it should allow me to rev a little more, cos on my old rxs it would get stuck at 8000rpm, then i put a full micron on there and got it to 9500rpm....

well the theory, and practice worked on my old bike anyway...lol

any thoughts?

Probably not, depends how the power curve looks compared to the stardard one. Thing is most race pipes tend to move the powerband further up the rev range and make it shorter too - loosing bottom end power.

It would make a full power one go faster and a restricted one go slower at a guess...

well as i sed, my rxs would only hit 70 once or twice when i was ragging it (as far as i could) to 8 odd krpm, but after micro 9k+ and 75+ mph all the time

surely tzr would behave the same?

you probably wouldnt notice more top end speed,it would just give you slightly more power, which would just make you accelerate to your top speed quicker.once you have got a few tuning mods, and it accelerates like a twat, consider changing your gearing, to increase your top speed, but you would sacrifice some of the acceleration you had gained

yea that what i was thinking, new exhaust, cos that will shed a few kilos cos they are lighter (well i think) and ive got a 1 tooth more front sprocket but i need my fancy tools for putting that on.

then i shall see how it goes

im not bothered about 'slow' acceleration because it goes fast as it is and i dont hammer it, i can still beat alot of cars off the lights etc and i only take it to 20 in 1st, if i was hoooning it i would see 30+ in 1st before i changed....but slower acceleration and a nice cruising speed would be nice

No, RXS have a sh*tty exhaust with no expansion chamber, peak power is then limited by the poor scavenging properties of the exhaust - the porting is at its optimal at all times.

TZR on the otherhand has an expansion type chamber anyway, but the VPVS valve on a resticted bike impairs gas flow thus restricting peak revs and max power regardless of your exhaust.

Obviously your not clued up on the working of a 2 stroke motor, but if you have any grasp on engines at all - the engine isnt anywhere near the rpm range it creates peak power so increasing possible peak power is pointless when it wont rev high enough to reach the standard peak power in the first place as the closed YPVS valve is restricting it

In c*nts english - You need a YPVS unit before you buy a pipe.

aha yes

BUT

new pipe would weigh less, there for i would be able to go faster

buuuut its neither here or there anymore.

the tzr is costing 2 much for what it is.

and its p**sing my dad off knowing my bikes such a piece of sh*t so he sais he would be happy to cart it away home if i got a better one....i mite have to do that
