regarding the quote
GETTING TO THE 1ST LEFT HAND BEND
I know this quote only too well as in 1980 i had my best mate killed by doing just that on a 500 metre ride to the pub with all right hand bends except the last one, We were all in the pub, heard a crash and when we went out there he was embedded in the front of a ford escort. That sight will stay with me for the rest of my life

Hi all
Can i thank dave on this excellent post as it has answered a lot of the questions i had when i got the boys SC125 2-3 weeks ago, re deresriction, oil types, fuel range etc etc. All in one easy to find spot.on the touchy subject regarding oil type, always use the quoted manufacturers grade of oil as a minimum guide, ie equal to or greater spec.
Its been nearly 30 yrs since i had my own last stroker and things have come on a lot since then, but if you want safe /long engine life ,oil type has got to be good.
I Have always used semi synthetic oil as years ago full synthetics kept gumming rings up although they are probably different nowadays.
I am NOT qualified mechanically but used to do ALL my own maintenance ,inc full rebuilds on both 2 and 4 strokes(I hated gearboxes)so i know the importance of quality oil.
Any info on the horrible suicide side stand and any way to correct it ?
