I have owned my cibber for 2 months from new and its had a 5oom service that cost me 60 notes just for a fookin oil change its now done 1100.

Can any one tell me what are the main miles it will need servicing bearing in mind that its under warranty so its got be done and book stamped or i wud of changed the oil myself.

Just do it yourself if you feel capable!

I f*cked getting it serviced off a tthe 7,500 mark, and have done it myself since then.

Just read te manual or the stickied notes at the top and do it yourself, it'll be cheaper plus you'll learn more.

If you RTFM, it says after the first 600 miles, you need it done every 2500. It also tells you what to get done at each service (although if you walk in and say it needs an xxxx mile service, they'll know what to do).

Dunno how you got charged 60 quid... My cbr got serviced free of charge at it's 600 mile service.

Didn't even have to pay for that. The dealer f*cked me around so much before I got my bike that they said they'd pay for everything for the first service.

Wrong. First service shouldn't cost you for labour. They will still charge for parts and fluids.

The dealer I went to told me that the CBR was the only bike they didn't offer this on either. But because they screwed me around, they paid for the whole lot for me!

labour on 1st service is free from honda will cost ?30 max unless they need to do anything other than oil and lube everything

but u can work with time as well as mileage...

i ride my bike alot, so i service it every 3-4months or around 4000km (~2500miles) whichever comes first

You misunderstand, I believe.

They told me it was every 2500 miles after the first 600. So the first major service will be 3100 miles. Then every 2500 after that. so 5600. 8100. And so on.

it would only have been your second service that was 600 miles late anyway, all the others would be done at the correct mileage (relatively speaking)

Well, yeah. But that's still 600 miles more than needed. Thanks for pointing out that my dealer's a wally!

Besides, in the last month i've only done 1400 miles (got it brand new a month ago!)
