hi all

i have been looking into getting a bike now for when i turn 17 in september

i was talking to a mate of mine that is a cbt instructor and we got onto the NSR's and he said its not allowed for people to take there CBT's on one

is this bull or is it true?

also while i am here

how much does a decent NSR go for? i do love the look of them but don't want to get a mint one because i will not be surprized if i go and drop it or something, just something that will get through a MOT

thanks in advance

it is and isnt. if its restricted you could take your test on it. if its not then its overpowered around 26bhp from memory.

a decent nsr goes for around 1300-1500 now adays and the instructor is bullsh*tiing mate as you can take your cbt on whatever bike you like aslong as its got a m.o.t

i wouldnt advise it though as the turn circle on sports bikes are not very good so you may fail on the U-turn.

How much room? lol Just turn around in the road without putting ya foot down I think.

CBT is easy as pie, if anything a waste of money, well I felt mine was. I've never had trouble getting any parts, recently got a drive kit and took 1 day to arrive lol and there always plenty on eBay.

I won't be after 1300+ lol I got abit of a bargain so I only want what I paid for it. If you're interested still in a couple months PM me or i'll PM you when I come to sell it

Got a lot of information out of mine. But then again I was younger
At the end of the day it's there to make sure people are of a decent enough standard before letting them loose on the road.

I never knew about lifesavers etc until I'd done mine. People used to be able to drive a car and then get access to two wheels without doing any courses/tests.

Therefore I disagree with the "waste of money" statement you made.

Dude, that was a 3 month old thread. Although you can take it on any size bike you can legally ride, as long as you are insured on it. They won't know if it's restricted as you'll be doing the correct speed limit on CBT
