I know the Evo models have a spring in one leg and a damper cartridge in the other.

So no, they are not the same.

Isn't there only only caliper and disc on the front of the Mito's
I believe OP is correct about the internals but externally there is only one fork with a caliper mount.

They are also different at the bottom because of the front spindle. The right one (as sat on bike) has larger opening than the left.

Off topic slightly but I do have a pair of USD forks, yokes and spindle off an evo 1 up for grabs if you might need them.

mk2 and evo legs are also different
evo legs are further apart from eachother, so the solid spacer on the evo leg is bigger/wider.
and ofcourse the yolks are different then too
Hi !

dam, no1 has mentioned about problems fitting mk2 '92~94 forks into Evo YOKe's and Evo1 rim/Evo1 speedo drive.

you are talking about the RH-side fork leg ? when saying "solid spacer"..

im putting Mk2 racing forks/Sp marchessini rim(s) into my Evo.

bye

Hi !

ive just recently noticed that there is "2 types" of Mk2 Forks '92~94. hhmm what might be the reason for difference..

i know for sure that Mk2 Racing '93 and Racing Lucky Explorer '92/94 had the forks with those "holes at top". i just dont know the reason or truth if they are different set-up..

bye

markus
Hi i reckon they've drilled those holes to make a jig to hold the top of the forks still. Problem happened to me the other day - when removing the top bolt the top of the forks start to turn with the bolt if they're done up too tightly or stuck a little. looks like they're only there to do that cos you can see the marks where its turned slightly probably from slipping out of the holes.
