I had noticed on the last few rides that the Ev1 wasn't feeling quite right & on investigation, the rear shock is now rather springy & appears to be leaking

Options....

Look for new shock...damn expensive
Look for second hand Mito shock & hope its good
Look for alternative Shock (RGV 250?, I do have a 3MA spare, but not measured it up.
Get my shock refurbed...but where & how much

If you want an RGV250 I have a VJ22 spare that needs some work.

Also I believe I have the rear wheel spacer for mk|/|| that your after.

Al
Get a new one so I can see if it's worth upgrading the rear spring on my project... Lol.
That's the one with the reservoir yes & by work, do you mean refurb?

There are some RGV shocks on evilbay, also Mito ones, but I don't want to buy one that need refurbing really. I may as well get mine done as I have no issue with the standard rear shock when its working.

Be handy if you do have a spacer, save me making one matey

Yeah I'd recommend a refurb £100 by Brooke suspension, just a bit of weeping from the main seal.

If your not offended by the standard suspension it's not really with the cost IMO.

Yeah I'll have to look later after work for it but I'm 99% sure I have it as its the old one off my bike but as I now have marchesinis with it own spacer I don't need it.
imo the std shock is fcking shocking when pushed. RGV250 shock was ace on my mk2.

SP shock is just another level of awesomeness

I sold a Mito Bitubo rear shock last week for £140.
I tried fitting the VJ22 rear shock on the Mito but causes so many issues, spring hits the air box so won't go on the carb, the banjo is facing the wrong way up so needs changing. Total ballache tbh lol

Yo FC where was my head up man?!? Lol

Tell me more as I was hopeing to slip one I mine, and Coll seemed to have no trouble?
It won't a S.P part lol Just a regular Bitubo one that you can buy on eBay didn't think you would be interested

Pretty much as said what the issues are with it lol,the mk1/2 has different airbox compared to a Evo dont it? maybe a straight swap on that.
It could be made to fit if the same issues are on the mk1/2. If you are having it refurbed can have a new hose made with the needed banjos on.
It needs the top mount machined or grinded etc to the fit the Mito frame, bottom mount needs bushings made, simples.

Thought you meant the race version I was like nooooo.. Lol yeah I'm not sure if the under side of the airbox is different from mk1/2 to Evo because I have already had the top mount on mine ground down and thought it looked like it would rub on a quick test fit but I don't have any bottom spacers made yet.. No dough.

Well it won't a standard shock, was a proper £340 jobby Bitubo, just needed funds quickly at the time.
Tbh if you can i would have the spacers welded onto the inside of the shock mount to spread the load on the bolt, regular spacers work just the force on the bolt
my thinking anyways plus looks better lol.

With remote resivour or built in? I actually looked down the route of having a new bottom mount made up to fit properly but cash is some what of an issue ATM but if needs be I can dig some up.
built in,it was going on my road Mito. Had it one day then sold lol
Ah I'd prefer the remote but that sai it's still a great shock
I would go for a decent race type myself, Bitubo or similar. Would be better than a stock item as they are rather 'budget' even when new.

Well worth the extra pennies.
Tbf I have been looking around at others but ill be going with nitron, I like to think I haven chosen yet but really I already have lol
I was gonna upgrade my suspension, but not sure if its worth it for me as I'm not ging out of my way to lighten it or anything. Mainly because I weigh just over 100kg, is be better shifting it from myself, then maybe look at the bike lol.
Fooking hell poor Mito, that's a reason to upgrade the shocks hauling that weight haha jk.
Mito shock sucks especially not having a progressive spring.
Haha Fc at 6ft2, I was on a cbr125, how do you think that felt! Lol.
Luckily for you the amount you weigh has nothing to do with the shocks performance.
