right guys many of you probably her me go on about the tzr project im doing well i decided to make a tread on it and explain some of the stuff i do so maybe other people will have the confidence to try it on there,s (don't copy me though. the plan is to take tzr 125 2rk frame and modify it alot and then bring it back up to date and make people see that tzrs are just as good if not better than all these bloody rs, mitos you see about. i get fed up with people referring to the tzrs as cheap hacks yes i agree there are many out there that have been thrashed mine was when i bought it ( i have pics i will dig out ) these are great little bikes that when look after can make you smile all the time when you ride them.

right the first thing ive been working on is the tzrr forks (4dl) these were the first mod i wanna to get sorted and i must say that them just on there own provide alot better look

looking good mate,got a running engine in mine today.not had it sruck up yet(its the mrs' engine)as soon as i manage to get something that runs and has all the bits required for the road,then the mods start!

If your'e going with the RS rear end what you doing at the front?

I had to completely wipe MSN and about a dozen other programs out when I got virus'ed the other day.
Still haven't got round to re-installing it yet.

on the B&Q thing I got this yesterday which made me laugh out loud

I'm not usually one for posting warnings about potential scams but I had a close one at the weekend.

I walked into B&Q and some old bloke dressed in orange asked me if I wanted decking. Fortunately, I got the first punch in and that was the end of that.

Those less suspecting might not be so lucky

right i did mention before about giving up on this project but after consdertation and thought ive decided to carry on with this bike and see it out , basically bring back the old skool in the next few days im gonna sort some toolage out and get cracking on with this baby of mine lol

well put it like this mate it ain't gonna be cheap lol , but i feel it will blend in with the lines of the rs rear end and other mods i have planned also ****** you still interested in the front end if so pm me as ive got a new front end i wanna put on just because im fussy like that lol still will make some progress in the next few days , i will be working on the rear end

right just been on eBay and brought myself a rgv250 rear wheel and tyre etc so hopefully all being well that should be here by the weekend then i can crack on with the back end hoping to start looking at mounting sub frame and seat at the start of nxt week then this bike should start makking good progress all being well pics to come soon

you'll get sh*t loads of grip but it'llslow the bike down alot mate, the rgv wheels are lighter than the rs but still heavy for a 125 and wide too, have you measured up seeing if the banana will fit in width wise as the tzr frames quite narrow, also have you thought about chain alignment to the front sprocket?i'm not an expert by any means but iv got an rgv, a tzr and an lc hich i'm to get another to mod up and looking from the back of the tzr to rgv looks alot wider, how are you gona mate the suspension up?good luck mate james

well mate all is well swinger is nealrey finished , chain alliment is all good and suspension moutings are being sorted , today i have been playing around with the rs tank and to be honest its getting on my t*ts lol but if i cant get it to fit which in this case seems like might happen i will jsut put the tzr one on which i bought from ima riddaha bout 30 mins ago lol , i know that having the rgv rear wheel is going slow her a bit but when you look at the tz125rr youll see that use basicly the same size tire , the older tzrs had skinny wheels so , all is well mate keep checking this tread as the nxt few weeks are going bring some major mods and overdarft time lol

i had an early aprilia af1 50 tank and an rgv race seat on my 2rk mind you that were about 10yrs ago and i cant remember how i fitted them. must have been pretty simple as i'm a lazy git at the best of times! lol

hurray today has brought some good things and ive moutend up the sub frame to the frame and tank is looking good (rs tank) stopped at that today as my fingers are bloody freezing and it ain't easy trying to weld with bloody cold hands lol , pics to be uploaded later

Hi TZR MAN you came onto my thread the other day in the RG125 section. I decided to mod my old RG125 gamma for the same reasons as you. I have put the RGV 250 VJ22 back end on, VJ22 fully adjustable shock wich is longer than 125 ( perfect for the street fighter look), VJ22 foot pegs and hangers, bought a set of rg 125 fun forks, yokes and 4 pot caliper which will fit, Renthal fat bars and mounts spare from my crf450 spares and a rgv 250 side stand. I am hopefully going to win a pair of fun wheels and the banana swingarm for it off ebay this week. Bloody project bikes, they just suck up money lol but it should be 1 off. Once it's fully built and running spot on, I will strip the whole thing and send it off to powder coaters and paint shop, so I know exactly how you feel when you think is it really worth it

yeah mate fair dos ive decided to jack it in and get myself a rs project on the go (rs125) thing is im asking too much from a very dated bike when the rs125 frame boost pretty much all the feature i want as i standard package so im going to spend the summer getting that built up maybe get it on the road in time for winter who know,s . so all the parts you say are for sale forks , engine numerous other parts lol just pm me with what you want cheers

true mate but eveyoneng could say that about getting a newer one ,its just down to individuality,shame you got that far and gave up, a good tzr would have been good in my eyes nad v different where as rs' are very common and everyone puts on the same bits! you should make it a rolling chassis and maybe it'll tempt more money/people. good luck mate

Yes I agree, and RS 125's are made out of melted down yugos haha. Just think of the buzz you will get from making your own bike exactly how you want it! I wasn't sure if i'd get my upside down front end on mine, but I nearly got it finished today. If it takes a year or two, just stick with it

lol i know what you mean guys but ever since i first saw a picture of the rs 125 (98 rossirep ) back when i was 16 i knew that one day i would have to get one , ive gotta admit im gutted about the tzr but it just didn't fit the bill , maybe if i had a bit more engering knowledge it would of pulled , probably save to say i bit a little more than i could chew still i hope that people seeing this tread will have the inspiration to do the mods like the usd etc im always will ing to help out people with these things and even though im moving onto the dark side lol i will always rember the first time my tzr hit the power band and made me grin

ok father forgive me as i have sinned i have been thinking over the last couple of days and ive decided that the tzr will live all being well the new shock should be here tomorrow so i can crack on with the shock moutings then its jsut a case of sorting the sub frame i do apologize for this tread going from one to another lol but ive had a weird ass week and ive been very scrambled anyways , im of to go crack on , but i tell you whats made me thing about rebuilding this bike its this
