hi my nsr is making a noise when i slow down, going down the gearbox. the sound this like a grinding noise like something stops and the other part keeps moving. this sound only happens now and then, normally when bikes warm after a good blast.

also have a look on your sprockets side play on the front and how are the rubbers on the backwheel

He may be on about the rubber dust seals on the wheel bearings...

Actually is there any side play in the rear or front wheel? Like, does it wobble if you shake it hard on its side stand? If so your wheels bearings are shot... Dunno if they would make a sound but its worth a go...

about the backwheel rubbers (spare 2 on the picture) they work as anti-shock on the chain when you engage a gear . if they are worn you will hear some noise like "clac" when gearing or a train noise when running . very few people has the idea to change them when fitting a new sprockets kit .

Had alook at bike cant see a thing wrong with it? the problem started after i tuck the back wheel off to clean swingarm. Ive put all the spacers and that back right way because i checked on asaniard picture. The noise only happens after a good hour or 2 riding. could it be a gearbox fault?

have you adjusted the chain to the correct tightness when you put the wheel back on as it could just be your chain hitting your subframe cause its to slack just a thought
