quick question about my engine temp

took for a good run tonite quicky in to town doin 6 on it and i notice the temp was at 80

now have checked the coolant level and its ok
now at the weekend i put some help repellent sheets on the belly pan halfs

now would they cause it to shoot up like that or not?

or could it be that i have put gaffer tape on the radiator?

Um, i was lol because i didn't know what you were talking about .....

I taped up half my rad and it was too much, i am just going to do the LHS bit rather than the vanes.
