so will this guide work for just the 2000 ZX-6R? or for other bikes because it says the zx uses shim-under-tappet valve clearances

yup id say basicly all kawaks are almost identical to this but any tappet based values will be the same, doesnt look to difficult, i also have a website showing pictures step by step changing clutch pates and springs and steels
