I currently have a 2011 r125 which has only done under 1600 miles and I was planning on purchasing the complete 180cc kit with modified head by yamaha to increase the power.
I have looked at the dyno charts and with it fitted but with a stock exhaust it puts out about 23.4bhp, but as I have got a full acravovic race system and a k&n high flow air filter fitted already do you recon I would be able to get over 25bhp and if so how high should I increase my rev limit by?
I have been told by my local yamaha dealership that it is possible to do so as the lower engine is able to withstand higher revs, and the enlarged water jackets around the bore provides sufficient cooling for a higher rpm limit.
I was thinking around the 12000 limit as the rev counter only goes that high, but I would appreciate your opinion on this aslong as its constructive.
p.s. with the big bore kit I was going to have a power commander unit and have it set up on the dyno so its set up correctly.
