exactly what tommy said, there under the carbs after you have taken them off (not in the carbs ok) so when you lift them up your see these washers with tiny holes sitting there mate

Yep, I put restrictors on Emma's bike, it was a case of pulling the carbs forward and putting the washer in the inlet rubbers, easier said than done mind!

After you take them out, make sure when you put the tank back none of the hoses/breathers are trapped!

how easy is it to get the carb block off on an NC30 ?

its guna cost me ?175 to get em fitted
why you thinking of fitting the yourself??

if so DONT lol cause it will be void if you crash or get pulled as you need to have them fitted by a dealer for them to be lagit mate

Fitting them yourself is more legit than taking them out tho...

Do what I did, get someone to sell you them without fitting, but sign the certificates

you may be able to fit them yourself and get a dyno printout proving your bike's 33bhp, but no point unless it works out cheeper. It's a bit of a grey area tho'. I was gonna do this and emailed the dvla and vosa but they couldn't give me a definitive answer...

If you're doing it with FI international, the main cost is for the certificate, in which case they need to be fitted by a 'professional'. The restricters themselves are worth about ?1. So it's useful if you know someone in the motor trade that can just sign a cetificate saying they're fitted lol.

yeah coz thats going to work lol, you have to have them fitted by a dealer to pass anything to do with the pigs, if you get pulled and its not signed and dated etc by a dealer then your f*cked

even if you say there in there but i fitted them not a dealer

Macey, re read my post... I had the certificate signed by the dealer...

Anyhooo, the laws says the bike has to be no more than 33bhp, not that it needs to use an FI kit to be restricted... But that's another arguement, Emma's bike has restrictors fitted, and to all intents and purposes it seems a dealer fitted them... but we know otherwise

???

i got a bike mechanic to sign and send the docs away without fitting them.
extremly illegal and he could get shut down if they found that out, also the machanics round here aint that f**king nice, when i got them for me vfr400 cause i was pulled he wouldnt even put the date back a tad (1 week) so i could get away with it, i even offered him 50 f**king quid.

stuck up c*nt lol

but like i said norfolk aprilia as long as you have the docs saying there in there i dont matter wether there in there or not as long as you got the certificate

Macey, it's no more illegal than just taking them out straight away
And if you're caught without them, the mechanic is no more likely to get done, either way he can just blame you for taking them out, and if you're not a c*nt you'd take the blame yourself anyhow LOL
