If its reading 70 its probably faulty, normal reading's for a cbr125 are between 0 and 65 mph, anything else is a fault

Yours is obviously broke too then.

Nows your chance... get a new speedo with the top speed indicating about 150 then when people see you can just tell them it does about 140 ;] wuuuuu

Have you checked it then? if youre not sure you can always take it to the dealers and let them have a looky

Well now is the time to learn, it's not that hard.

Just take the clocks off, 4 screws. Unscrew the cable with your fingers and check if it spins when you push the bike forward. If not the cable has snapped.
