Square headlight nsr125?

I recently bought tis bike and i am prety shure it's an early production nsr125r,but the headlight is got me pretty confused.At first i thought it was just changed because of a crash but it fits way too good and don't see any ones handy work.Was there any 125r that came wit this kind of a headlight?Or is this just modified?
