Hello. Anyone have reccomened squish on a Mito 125? Manual says 1,55-1,6, but on every forum or threads I have read, they reccomend lower for some resason. I have measured with a measurement clock as per manual, and need a 0.8 base( manual says stock is 0,5)

gasket to get 1,55mm squish. Original A0401 sylinder, but now using a Mitska and 200c dome head. But Im confused if this it what I should have.

the original defined squish is because of very bad manufacturing tolerances. there is no minimal squish distance. when engine is running if you can get it to 0 that would be THE best. old books teach us that there is a minimum that is to be used as after that the speed of air moving is to fast but that has been proven inaccurate by the GP bikes and few members from there that made it public..

A rough minimum from experience (since the piston and conrod strech from acceleration force, cylinder expands from heat as does piston etc) to 1% of stroke. that is 0.51mm for a Cagiva mito.

But make sure to place the tin in 4 points (at same time) to make sure the piston is not at angle and measure all for for the minimum.
