Right then, she's nearly ready. I have had her fired up for the first time in nearly 8 years, and the freshly rebuilt engine with a few modds is sounding nice (for a 125 lol)
Here's how she happened:-
Then she finally runs (cheesy videos):-

It's taken a lot of hard work to get her to this state. The mods are as follows:-
1) RG125 Fun upside down forks and yokes
2) RG125 Fun wheels and brakes
3) RG125 Fun banana swingarm
4) RGV250 VJ22 back end and seat unit
5) RGV250 VJ22 Rear master cylinder and brake hose
5) RGV250 VJ22 rearsets and pegs
6) RGV250 VJ22 Rear shock with external reservoir
7) Twin enduro headlight
8 ) Renthal fat bars and clamps adapted to fit (spares from crf450 that i didn't like the bend of but feel great on this)
9) Trailtech enduro speedo that works off magnetic pulse
10) Carb is fully modded internally and is just using the origional shell
11) Yamaha R7 front brake hose
12) Full micron racing system
13) Exhaust port modified with blanking tube and fully rebuilt engine with Boyesen racing reeds
14) modified the rear mudguard, chopping the battery holder off and re positioning it in mudguard at top with a gell one
15) Honda RS250 GP front mudguard (still to fit)
16) Extensive frame chopping and rewelding in most places
The list could keep going but i think that's the most of it. I need to get a couple of little bits and bobs finished off then give her a test ride.
A big problem has come into play (in my mind). I feel that it's come so far, and it would be a crime not to put a massive, jocker, monster of a motocross engine in, so I am on the hunt for a clean Honda CR500 bike as a donour. I am not sure if the engine would fit, but if not I will have to make something else for it. It would give me great pleasure for some pumpkin to roll up next to me on a bandit, thinking they're gonna spank me off from some traffic lights, and for me to wheelie past them at some crazy speed haha. If anyone has one, or knows where there is one, let me know asap!! The engine does't have to be immaculate as it will be rebuilt anyway, as long as it has numbers and no welds.
Once she is built and tested, she will be ripped in bits again and powder coated, painted etc with all brand new bolts, tyres (wider back), brake pads and whatever else I come across
Watch this space for further progress
