hi guys, i jus bought an imported 1987 rg 125. the logbook says its a fun/p but its got the wrong style bodywork and dosent hav upsidedown forks.

wen i rev the bike, the headlight goes dim, i stripped the loom jus behind the light n found some split cables were they rubbed on the frame and shorted out, i repaired this with pvc tape and it stopped for a while but now it does it again.

also the carb that was on my bike was a motocross carb, i currently am using one off of a ts125 but its terrible.

any help is apreciated, thanks

then thats a rg125 gamma 80s shape. same as my bike.carbi should be a Mikuni VM28SS.
iv got a new carb off of a 1988 rg 125 gamma and the bike runs lovley now, no problems what so ever.
the headlight still dimms when you accelerate tho.
when you conect a battery charger straight to the terminals, the problem stop so i just need a new battery.
