ok so i got a bad spark, i changed my reed valves and now it seems like tehre is hardly any fuel getting in, plug seems to get oily, the bike will start if u bump it. got a new spark wat else could be causeing it to not start? will try new plug tomoz. any idears???

i have same trouble thought it was spark but found out piston ,rings and barrel was f*"ked not enough pressure hope it helps but hope thats not what is wrong with your bike can be expensive .... by the way where you from

im pretty sure the compresion is gd.. will get a gage on to it oon.. any 1 know wat its ment 2 b?

btw frm eastbourne .. east sussex

Ok so we put in the new spark plug coz the old 1 was crap and had a bad spark. the spark wasnt getting wet at all so we have a fuel problem yestday we had loads of fuel on the spark and then we chaged the reeds. witch didnt look like they needed changing . so we now think the carb might b filling up with crap from the petrol tank am gona get an inline filter stik that in ad clean the carb out overthe next few days /week... any other thoerys people have??

if it wont start on elctric but will bump start u thought of battery?
if it had sh*t on the plug when u had first dun it but no no fuel goin through doubtful that its fuelling, if u cant get fuel through ya carb, slap it off put it in tub of degreaser take it out dry with airline, clean each jet individually with nice bit of wire, then slap it back on should only take 20 mins,
does it run properly when u bump start it?
if it dont and only when back is moving (wont run in neutral) ya engine is f*cked and prob partial seize but i duno wot else could be still rackin my brainsssssssssssss

spark cheak ya coils and electrics i no u have changed ya plug ect but so many things it can be and after that prat u called a mechanic done ya bike and never noticed there was no air filter and was wondering y u got 2 much air going in hummm i would say cheak every think set up right ect clean carbs set up right and get a filter!!! cheak coils electrics ect ect u get my drift looool

if u have compression and fuel was getting to it but not now wot have u done since try tracing back . and going over hole bike sounds like u had a right twat working on it .

i am having same trouble been through every thing before i checked barrel and piston found a nice score about 4mm deep in top half of barrel so i think that it must be that on mine what you think i cant moan to much only paid 100 for bike and only spent about 70 on it

... ok cleaned the jets, the batterie is fully charged. .. em wen it bumps as soon as u let go of the throttle it dies. put sum fuel down with the sprak and it fired starte away this mornign .. but only the 1s.
i havent tried bumping it then putting in to nutral... so yer the sparks still not getting any fuel. might try to chage the reed vavles bk over
? oh and yer for sum reason the air screw and the throttle scret are both right in? i don tthink thats right?

if it dies when u take the throttle off when u bump it, take head off cos sounds like u got a seizure, suggest u dont run it till ya find out, as u will f*ck up cylinder even more.
.. 1 u got to remember theres no fuel getting to spark unless we put it there, and 2 dont think carb is set up propperly,,,, how will i no if anythigns up with cyclnder and how much that gona coz t to sort?

That is why it's cutting out on tick over. Some one has obviously been tinkering with it and has no idea about carbs. As a pretty std setting, wind the mixture screw out 1 and 3 quarter turns. When you do this the air flow into the carb will increase and the tickover will probably need turning down if thats fully in as well. You would be fowling plugs up all the time with the mixture screw fully in. Hope this helps you out.

ok thx .. i think the compression is very low.. 50 psi? wat should it b ? and how do i go about sorting that?
